Sarasota, one of the most idyllic cities in Florida, was once the winter home of the legendary Ringling Brothers Circus. And the Sarasota airport is as prominent as the traveling circus itself. Covering a total land of over 1100 acres that is relatively small compared to most other airports in the country, the Sarasota-Bradenton airport usually undertakes more than 100,000 aircraft operations every year, which is overwhelming, to say the least. This airport is about three miles from Sarasota and six miles from Bradenton, thus being accessible from both cities. However, regardless of all its rich history and undeniable efficiency, the Sarasota Bradenton SRQ is known more for its excellent parking facilities.

Sarasota Airport options for Parking:

There are the regular short term parking lot and the long-term parking lot. There is also the shaded parking option in case you are worried about your vehicle getting damaged by the elements. All these lots are located right across the terminal entrance. Add to that the distinguished additional services offered by the airport parking, and you will be striding into the lobby like a king!

Sarasota Airport Parking rates:

Both the short-term and long-term lots offer 30-minutes free parking. In the short-term space, you will be charged $2 for an additional 30-40 minutes. After that, you will incur the same rate for every 20 minutes more, totaling to a daily maximum of $16. The Sarasota airport long term parking is slightly more affordable with a rate of $2 for one-hour post free parking. However, it later rehashes to fees similar to that of short-term parking, i.e. $2 for every 20 additional minutes, with a daily maximum of $13.
You can also avail of the shaded parking with rates similar to that of the other two lots – the first 30 minutes are free, followed by $2 in the first hour and $2 every 20 minutes thereafter. The daily maximum here is $14. Furthermore, if you are a valet parking customer, then you don’t have to take the walk from the parking lots to the terminal entrance. Simply call up their valet parking telephone line before arrival and a specialized valet will be waiting for you near the access point. Similarly, ring the guy up prior to landing and you will have your ride waiting for you post checkout. These valet parking services will cost you an additional $10 for the first eight hours, and $8 for every eight hours thereafter.

The Sarasota International Airport Parking features:

Very few airports in the country offer valet parking service at such low costs, and the Sarasota airport parking fees fall in this category. Given that every valet parking customer directly gets his or her vehicle maneuvered to the shaded area, you will be at a huge advantage here. Additionally, every long-term parking customer gets a free shuttle service to and from the terminal. Both these alternatives accept major credit cards as payment. Also, electric vehicle charging stations are available in short-term parking.
Moreover, there are two supplementary programs that the airport offers, namely the Thanks Again Rewards program and the Fastlane Parking program. The former allows you to earn one flight-mile per dollar spent at any of the parking lots, whereas the latter gets you from either the shaded or long term parking lots to the terminal in a jiffy. Both these programs are highly beneficial if you frequent flights from the Sarasota-Bradenton airport.
