General Information
The City of Sarasota Parking Division operates four (4) public parking facilities, three which are centrally located in downtown and one (1) on St. Armand Key near Lido Beach. With over 1,300 covered parking spaces in Downtown please consider using either the State Street, Palm Avenue, or 2nd Street/Whole Food's parking garage. At any city operated parking garage, during busy periods and big events, there may be a pay on entry charge of $5 to help defray the expenses associated with periods of high-volume parking (see information above). The City reserves the right to activate "pay on entry", or "Special Event" parking when deemed necessary and without notice.

Public Parking Rules
Please comply with all posted signs and city ordinances, including No Back-in parking. For payment convenience, each facility operates using pay on foot or pay in lane equipment. 2018-19 Pay on Entry Schedule

During busy periods and big events (see dates below), there will be a pay on entry charge of $5.00. Occasionally, some unanticipated events will require use of pay on entry to the garages and may not be shown on this list.

Car parks that are open 24 hours provide extra security for your car such as CCTV camera, and roving security personnel. You can park and pick up your car at any time with no added costs except for the parking fee. They may also provide services such as shuttle to and from the airport, car maintenance, valet parking, and key storage facility.

Indoor

Indoor car parks are covered car parks for both short term or long term parking. Despite a slightly higher cost compared to outdoor parking, you can enjoy more benefits including CCTV coverage, roving security patrol, shuttle services to and from the airport, and protection of your car from the elements.

Prebook

Pre-booking is when you book a parking space in a car park days or weeks prior to your flight. By pre-booking, you save money as discounts are offered by car parks for this option, and you save time as well, as all you have to do is proceed to the parking area where a space is reserved for you.
