Rapid City Airport Parking
Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP) is a public airport, located just a few miles southeast of Rapid City, Pennington County, South Dakota, United States. The RAP Airport is the closest commercial airport to Mount Rushmore, located within 45 minutes’ drive away by car. The FAA categorized it as a non-hub primary commercial service facility. Four major American airlines offer their services at RAP: Allegiant Air, American Eagle, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, United Airlines, and United Express. Serving as the main gateway to the Black Hills, the airport provides flights to 13 most popular destinations across the United States (Las Vegas, Phoenix/Mesa, Chicago–O'Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, and many more). Like so, Rapid City Airport serves around 700 000 passengers every year.
Rapid City Airport is a welcoming, recently renovated terminal building. Food and beverages are presented in both pre- and post-security areas. The AirHost, Inc. restaurants offer freshly baked pastries options along with tasty sandwiches and salads. The pre-screening area serves hot breakfast and daily luncheon special options. Both restaurants are operating from 5 a.m. until the last flight. If you are looking for a souvenir to bring home, you should visit the Mount Rushmore Memories gift shop on the second level. The shop offers different kinds of clothing and locally made gifts and crafts, as well as snacks, newspapers, magazines.
Rapid City Regional Airport Parking
Rapid City Airport parking offers two parking options: the P1 lot and the P2 lot. Additionally, there is a separate Tenant Employee parking lot, which greatly reduces the traffic load of the common parking lots. The P1 lot is considered to be the long-term parking lot as it is located further away from the terminal. Nevertheless, the lower daily (weekly) price makes this lot a good option for long-lasting trips. The P2 parking lot is a short-term parking lot, as it is located right in front of the terminal entrance. It is the closest and most convenient option for short trips. Rapid City SD Airport parking lots are owned by Rapid City Regional Airport and are operated by Republic Parking System, which offers accessible parking facilities and options.
