Punta Gorda International Airport is located about 3 miles to the east of Punta Gorda, Florida. It was formerly known as Charlotte County Airport and is owned by the county Airport Authority. The airport hosts the Florida International Show each year. The event showcases several different military demonstration teams. Presently, PGD offers non-stop flights to about 40 destinations.

At PGD, you get the options for both long term and short-term parking. The short term lot is just right in front of the terminal building. Punta Gorda airport long term parking is accommodated in the lot behind the short-term one.
You can use short-term parking for up to a day. Overnight parking at the short-term lot is not advisable. Instead, use the long-term parking lot for daily, weekly, monthly, or even annual subscriptions. 
Parking at Punta Gorda airport is not complicated at all. You can get your ticket as you approach the entrance. There is a button for you to push just as you are getting in. Hold on to your ticket, because you will need it as you are leaving. After inserting the ticket, you will then enter your credit card and get a receipt. This action will prompt the gate to open for you. For those having issues a special “Call” button is available.
Should you want to settle the bill by cash, bring the ticket with you to the terminal. There are several pay stations at the baggage lot. You will then get a ticket that you will insert into the slot at the exit for the gate to open.

Cheap Parking at Punta Gorda Airport

Punta Gorda Airport Parking Rates depend on whether you are using the short-term or long-term parking lot. The cost of parking at Punta Gorda airport for the first two hours is zero in both cases. You will then park at $1.00 for additional hours. In the short-term lot, the daily maximum rate is at $24. The long-term one has its daily maximum at $11.00 and $65.00 for the weekly maximum.
You can also opt to get a monthly subscription at $175 per month. Alternatively, you may decide to get an annual pass for parking at the overflow parking lot. This will cost you $1000 per vehicle per year and a couple of minutes to apply for it online.
The airport also grants free shuttle service on demand to cover the distance between the long-term parking and terminal.
