Monterey Regional Airport - MRY (previously known as Monterey Peninsula Airport) is a public, non-hub commercial service airport, located just a few miles southeast of Monterey City, California, USA. Monterey Airport offers one-stop connections to different cities around the world, making it an excellent travel choice. Thanks to that, Monterey airport serves more than 400,000 passengers every year.

Monterey airport terminal is a two-story building that includes all the necessary amenities. You can find many dining options inside the terminal building as well as in the surrounding area. Try local favorite Sanddabs, Calamari and Prime Rib at Fly Away Cafe while enjoying the runway view and scenic Monterey Bay. It is located on the second floor, before the security checkpoint. Also, a short car ride can get you to the nearest local restaurants: Tarpy’s Roadhouse, Roadhouse Wine Bar, Stone Creek Kitchen, or Starbucks. MRY offers free unlimited Wi-Fi connection inside the airport, simply connect to “MRYGuest” network, and enjoy your time. The terminal is open from 4:00 am until the last flight, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Monterey Peninsula Airport Parking

Monterey Airport parking offers Premium, Short-Term, Long-Term, and handicap parking options. The Premium parking lot is the most convenient option, as it is located right in front of the terminal and offers complimentary parking for the first 30 minutes. Monterey Airport Long-Term parking and Short-Term parking lots are situated to the east of the airport. Do not worry about the distance, as parking lots are located within a short walk distance. All the parking lots at Monterey Regional Airport parking are secured, well-lit and include disabled parking spaces. Please note that all the parking lots are outdoor type only.

Monterey Airport Parking Cost

Monterey Airport parking rates do not apply for the first 30 minutes at the Premium Parking. That’s right, the first 30 minutes are absolutely free for parking! Each additional 30 minutes will cost $3, up to a daily maximum rate of $24. Monterey Airport Short-Term parking rates $2 per every 30 minutes, up to a daily maximum rate of $24. Monterey Airport Long-Term parking rates $1 per 1 hour, up to a maximum daily rate of $13 (parking for more than 3 hours).

Short-Term parking lot offers a discount for handicap daily parking rate - $13. There is no discount for handicap parking at Premium or Long-Term parking.
