Kahului Airport (OGG) is a medium regional airport of Hawaii Islands. It is situated on the Maui island, Hawaii, United States of America. Kahului Airport operates the busiest Honolulu–Kahului route in United States, conveying back and forth more than one and a half million passengers every year. Kahului airport handles more than 5 million passengers annually. It takes the second place after the busiest airport in Hawaii - Honolulu Airport. Hawaiian Airlines is the busiest carrier that handles roughly 3.5 million passengers annually. FAA even categorized OGG as a medium-hub primary commercial service facility. This public airport offers the newest terminal facilities to all the customers. The main terminal is a long two-stored building that divides into two: northern area and southern area. The ground floor handles ticketing, inspection stations and baggage claim areas, while second floor manages 39 interisland and oversees gates. OGG offers different shops, cafes and diners, like duty free shops, Starbucks Coffee, Burger King, California Pizza Kitchen and many others. Kahului Airport Parking Options
OGG offers Commuter Terminal and Heliport Parking lots. Big outdoor public parking lot is situated right across from the main terminal. Kahului airport parking is suitable for both long term and short term parking. There are special electric vehicles parking spots with charging stations available in the main parking lot. There is also a special Cell Phone Waiting area, that allows drivers to wait for the arrival passengers in there. It is located North of the main terminal and it takes only a few minutes to get there. The lot is open from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily. Parking up to one hour is absolutely free, but you cannot leave your vehicle unattended. All unattended vehicles will be towed away with further expenses.
Kahului Airport Parking Rates
Parking at the Commuter Terminal and Heliport is PREPAID only. You can buy a ticket at special pay stations with credit card or cash (Note: if paying with cash, change will not be dispensed). The ticket must be placed on the cars dashboard and be easily visible from the distance.
Kahului airport parking fees start from free first 15 minutes and $1 per 30 minutes. One-hour parking costs $3, two hours parking costs $5 and so on up to daily maximum of $15 per 24-hour period.
