The History of Hector International Airport starts back in 1927, when it was known as the Hector Field. Since then the airport went through some major changes. The terminal that is used nowadays is the one that was built in 1986. The whole airports complex now also holds aviation museum with ongoing corporate & private events showing still working planes as well as World War II fighters.
