Concord Airport Parking
Concord regional airport is a public airport located 13 kilometers west off the Concord central business district. It is quite a busy airport with close to 200 daily operations. It is classified as a reliever for Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and serves the Charlotte and Concord cities of North Carolina. The 750-acre airport features a parking area for passenger vehicles or shuttles ferrying travelers to and from different parts of the city. The Concord airport parking is located next to the commercial service terminal and features two-level parking spaces that can accommodate up to 700 vehicles. The lower level is covered while the upper level is open space.
Parking Options/Services
The Concord Airport offers both indoor and outdoor parking all days of the week. Allegiant travellers can park in either of the two levels of parking space depending on preference and availability. At the parking garage entrance, there is a sign showing which of the two parking levels is open. The parking spaces are also organized so it is easy to navigate and find an empty slot. Recommendations are that drivers should arrive about 30 minutes to navigate to desired slots.
The Concord airport parking also features a Handicap area, although is limited requiring one to plan ahead of time. If notified early, the allegiant staff provides assistance for travellers who require handicap parking. Ground transportation for the handicapped is also available but must also be arranged in advance.
All parking options are free for one hour and visitors, greeters, and deliveries are not charged if they are out of the lot within the hour. Any stay beyond the one hour limit is charged at the daily rate of $12. As from June 2021, 24-hour parking attracts a fee of $12 for parking.
Special Parking Options
In case of an overflow, the airport has overflow gravel parking lots. When such scenarios arise, roadway signs are put up to direct vehicles to these slots. The overflow slots are mostly uncovered and may not be ideal for extended parking in foul weather. At the front of the FBO Terminal, there are parking lots designated for corporate, charter, and private flight customers.
Around the general aviation terminal, there are two long-term/overnight parking lots. The area also has a daily parking lot and a rental car area. In total, Concord parking offers 500 gravel parking spaces and 350 paved public spaces in addition to the 700 slots available in the parking garage.
Concord airport parking fees can only be paid using debit or credit cards. Payment is self-service via the payment kiosks located at the parking garage exit. Parking fees are not paid in advance since they are calculated based on length of stay at the exit end. Other than action from natural element for cars parked in open spaces, Concord airport gives safety assurance for all cars parked in the parking garage, on the overflow, and special parking spaces in different parts of the airport.
