Ballina Airport is a small regional airport serving the towns of Ballina and Byron Bay. The two towns are tourist hot spots located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. In 2015, the airport handled more than 430,000 passenger movement, making it one of the top 25 airports in the country. The airport has one terminal with 4 carriers, namely: Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Rex Regional Express, and Pelican, providing 58 flights per week to Newcastle, Melbourne and Sydney. The airport is operated by the Ballina Shire Council.
Ballina Airport Parking
The airport has two car parks which are located adjacent to the airport terminal. The Short Stay Car Park has slots for disabled passengers but does not have a fence. The Short Stay Car Park is ideal for those who want to see off family or friends as parking in front of the terminal is not allowed. The Long Stay Car Park has limited number of covered spaces available and does not have allotted spaces for disabled passengers. This car park has a fence and its main gate closes at 9pm and reopens at 5am. If in case of a delayed flight, airline staff can access the Long Stay Car Park. Both car parks are just a stroll away from the terminal.
Ballina Airport Parking Fees
Car park rates starts at $2 for two hours, and $8 for the whole day. Overnight parking is $14 and additional $14 for each night after.
