Augusta Regional Airport is a municipal airport in Georgia, where this city-owned airport covers 1,411 acres. It has two runways designed perpendicular to each other, with 95% of its flights using the 17/35, which is the main runway. During strong crosswinds, the 8/26 is the preferable runway. Recent statistics show that the number of commercial service passengers who use the airport is more than 500,000 each year. The regional airport plays a significant economic role, through its contribution of around $300 million annually.

Parking at Augusta Airport

Augusta Airport parking is one of the services that make the airline outstanding. The parking services here demonstrate continued efforts of the management to improve customer experience. There are three of them - long term, short term, and the credit card lot. At the terminal curb, one can only load or unload passengers. Leaving the car at the terminal curb is unacceptable and passengers going against the rule risk towing.
Visitors can use the long term or short term parking at Augusta Airport for free within the first 30 minutes. However, one cannot park at the designated location for passenger drop off or pick up as the area is strictly for passengers to be taken up or set down. It is important to understand the parking rules at the airport because leaving an unattended car automatically leads to ticketing or towing at the expense of the owner. Overall, the airport has more than 900 spaces for long term parking.

Parking Fees at Augusta Airport

Augusta Airport parking rates vary based on the chosen lot. With the short term lot, the first half an hour is free, while each extra subsequent 30 minutes call for a fee of $1. The daily maximum short term fee is $10. Augusta Airport long term parking attracts a daily maximum fee of $8. Each extra hour after the first free 30 minutes is $1. The credit card lot has similar rates to the long term lot, although the daily maximum fee is $8. While the first 30 minutes are free, each extra hour is set at a pay of $1. Augusta Airport parking fees are relatively affordable, especially the long term parking option. When parking for more than 24 hours, it is crucial to contact the office for exceptional arrangements.

Special Parking Services

The Augusta Regional Airport frequent passengers are eligible for Elite Rewards Program for $100. The special service allows customers to park at discounted rates in designated parking areas. Executive parking is near the main terminal building, and travelers can pay for these services using Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, or in cash. The Elite Rewards Program allows one to enjoy several parking-related perks such as parking accommodations and convenient parking lots.
Due to the limited space, availability of parking lots can be a challenge, explaining why the Airport offers shuttles to facilitate movement within the premises and encourage the use of these special services.
